For the month of July I have chosen another rare hosta to find in Canada called “Streakin in Ohio” (maybe that's why we don't see it here in Canada) for our monthly give away. For every purchase made for the month of July your name will be entered into our draw for a chance to win this streaky hosta. The draw will take place Sunday August 1st and the lucky winner of this hosta will be posted here!

SPECIAL THANK YOU

I’d like to give a huge thank you to Anne Louise and Chris Mazurkiewicz for all their TIME, PATIENCE, KNOWLEDGE and putting up with me while I tried to put this web page together. Prior to this I had minimal web experience. This is a project that I had wanted to start for some time. Being a very long winter, I couldn't think of a better time.

Chris is my computer friend (aka NERD) he is always there for me when I’m in need of computer help! So he was the first one I shared this idea with. He led the way, helping me understand the layouts, the linking and all sorts of other “technical” stuff. After many, many hours in front of my computer, I had accomplished MY web page.

This is where Anne comes in. I met her in the fall of 2008 after she had asked myself for some gardening advice. During that meeting, we discussed some ideas for her wonderful property. It was then I learned that she was a web page designer. I had told her my plans and she had offered to give me a hand should I need one. Well it turned out I not only needed a hand, I needed the arm and everything else.

Anne gave me her honest opinion and for that I’m so very grateful! She didn’t think it would take much to tidy it up and make it look a little more “professional”. So, once again, many more hours in front of my computer were spent learning a whole new set of web rules such as codes and stripping codes. Our (her) challenge was not one of starting from scratch, but moreover some of the methods I had utilized were not to “code” so we (she) had some issues. Nevertheless, the end results are more than I had anticipated.

It’s been a journey that I may not be taking again, but I’m so grateful for the efforts of 2 highly experienced people guiding me along the way. Thank you both for all that you have done in making this web page a success!
